And for just a second, I had this notion that I should probably tuck my Magen David into my shirt. I didn't. But the fact is that we need courage to be Jews in the world in 2024 in America is... something.
Truly, although I think we can’t lose sight of all the times — the majority of times — when people are just normal-to-supportive about things. It’s hard having your guard up around friends, colleagues and strangers, though, and I hate that it’s needed, because it is. That absolutely grinds me down.
